From Septem\u00adber 17 to 21, 2023, the 68th Annu\u00adal Meet\u00ading of the German Asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion for Medical Infor\u00admat\u00adics, Biom\u00ade\u00adtry and Epidemi\u00adol\u00ado\u00adgy (GMDS e. V.) will take place at the Heil\u00adbronn Bildungscampus<\/a>. I am very pleased that our univer\u00adsi\u00adty will host this renowned scien\u00adtif\u00adic confer\u00adence for nation\u00adal health research. In this context, my special thanks go to the two confer\u00adence pres\u00adi\u00addents Prof. Dr. Alexan\u00addra Reichen\u00adbach and Dr. Moni\u00adka Pobiruchin, to the local orga\u00adniz\u00ading commit\u00adtee and to the plan\u00adning commit\u00adtee around Prof. Dr. Martin Haag, which is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for the scien\u00adtif\u00adic orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion of the annu\u00adal confer\u00adence. The members of the Faculty of Informatics<\/a> and all other partic\u00adi\u00adpants make an impor\u00adtant contri\u00adbu\u00adtion to the advance\u00adment of the research field at the inter\u00adface of medi\u00adcine and infor\u00admat\u00adics by plan\u00adning and imple\u00adment\u00ading the confer\u00adence and contribut\u00ading their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan\u00adning for this confer\u00adence, which is expect\u00aded to attract around 800 inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal partic\u00adi\u00adpants, has already start\u00aded in 2019; and thus two years before the offi\u00adcial deci\u00adsion by GMDS in Septem\u00adber 2021, when it was announced \u201cthe annu\u00adal confer\u00adence of GMDS is coming to Heil\u00adbronn Univer\u00adsi\u00adty\u201d. What a great success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

True to the motto of the confer\u00adence \u201cScience. Close to the people\u201d, I would like to call not only on univer\u00adsi\u00adty members but also on the gener\u00adal public to take advan\u00adtage of this unique oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty and active\u00adly partic\u00adi\u00adpate in the vari\u00adous possi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties for knowl\u00adedge trans\u00adfer in the form of lectures, work\u00adshops and citi\u00adzen dialogues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Person\u00adal\u00adly, I am already look\u00ading forward to a live\u00adly hustle and bustle on the Bildungscam\u00adpus, the person\u00adal exchange with inter\u00adnal and exter\u00adnal experts in the vari\u00adous fields and the 50th anniver\u00adsary of our Medical Informatics<\/a> program, which will be cele\u00adbrat\u00aded during the confer\u00adence. On behalf of the univer\u00adsi\u00adty manage\u00adment, I wish the confer\u00adence pres\u00adi\u00addents \u2014 repre\u00adsent\u00ading all partic\u00adi\u00adpants \u2014 a success\u00adful event and all visi\u00adtors an excit\u00ading, stim\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading exchange of knowl\u00adedge and an inter\u00adest\u00ading time in Heil\u00adbronn, on the Bildungscam\u00adpus and at Heil\u00adbronn University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
